The tempo has slowed

After spending the entire day inside my house until 9pm last night it turned out to be a pretty fun night. I went out and met up with Ritchie and Ben and some other people that I just met last night. Ritchie came out to meet me since I didn't know where the place was that they were at and as he was coming the tempo started to smoke so we let it cool down and then drove it to my work where it is still parked. Then Ritchie and I had to walk back. It was probably about 10 blocks away and I was really wishing I hadn't worn my boots. Although I don't have a car now till Jake gets home it was still fun last night. Now today it is Halo time!!!!!!!!!!!

tried to call you this morning... so you must be out or asleep and probably left your cell phone in the car no doubt... anyway, don'[t leave your Tempo in the parking lot too long, or the tires my be gone and your car striped! See if one of your male friends can help you... probably needs water, or a new thermostat, or OIL... when was the last time you checked the water and oil??? Remember the basic fluids all cars need!

Sometimes I wonder if certain people that comment on this blog too frequently realize that they should be using email instead of the blog for some of their comments??? Do they realize that this is not a personal conversation between Kara and them? Do they realize that other people are involved and have grown extremely weary of the too-personal nature of their comments? Please cut the "big daddy-O" and "my little girl" stuff on a public blog. It's gotta be real embarrassing for her, and the rest of us are extremely tired of it! Be smart, back off, squash down your obvious love of conflict at the expense of others, and take this advice seriously.

like i care what someone named anonymous has to say... all she has to do is say the word, I am sure if there were a problem, she would let me know for one. 2. she can always delete my comments 3. if i didn't comment, many days would read zero comments and I didn't want her to think she was totally wasting her time, when she writes, I wanted her to know someone is listening to her.

So I have had people comment on my dad's entries asking why he doesn't use e-mail for some of them and I have always just chalked it up to "it's just him" but I can see that if someone is uncomfortable enough to leave a comment asking him to stop then I will have to agree. I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable reading my blog so dad I would ask that you do take seriously that advice and use e-mail when appropriate. I would hope you would have the same respect for my readers as you would have for me.

By the way dad, if you are going to continue this conversation I would ask that you do it through e-mail as all my friends don't need to hear this. Thanks!

    Hey Kara,

This is Billy. I didn't post the other comments.

Man, this site has gotten SOOOO SPICY! I love the tension.

I don't care who posts to a certain entry as long as it's on topic. Even if someone posts like 10 times if it's on topic that's OK by me.

So Frank's first comment on this entry was actually OK. But I agree that typically they are not on topic and should be sent in e-mail.

On the real topic, that's sad about the tempo. May the beat go on...

    Billy

It may have been "technically" on topic, but it was terribly condescending and sexist. Ummmm....I wonder if you have happened to notice that she is all grown up? That she does not need to be protected by her "daddy"?

Hey, let's not forget who the real victim is here... my precious Tempo! I leave her alone for not even 2 full days and now she's abandoned on the streets? Sheesh!

Yeah Jake... we forgot all about the poor car! lol

the topic WAS the car... and Kara is a very sharp and able communicator and quite able to make herself clear as she did above. To doubt that and to assume the need to speak for her is rather condecending in my humble opinion, and off the topic of the car... and I did e-mail her after she asked me to in one of her replies above. However, that is between me and her. Many people just cruise blogs, some just looking for something to do and something to say. Not everyone who posts as anonymous knows the people they are responding to. This is a new medium and I suppose if someone needs to be the first to violate some unwritten or newly formed rules of ediquette regarding blogging, it might as well be me. However, Kara.... thanks for setting me straight. Car saivy is an area I feel a little guilty as a parent. I should have taught you more about cars when you were growing up... thats what is at the bottom of my sarcasm about cars. Well, that answers that. I suppose if people can jump on me about it, it is okay for me to answer it. Enough said... I'll not comment more on this particular entry. Have a good day!

Frank, do you understand that you can place all of your comments in one post? You already seem to post far too many pointless comments on the blogs I read, so when you post multiple comments in a row on one post, it's just annoying (and it makes you look silly). And I'm not talking for Kara, I'm talking for me, because you do that at <ME too! It must be so embarassing to have to be taught etiquette with the whole world watching... ;)

no problem ... that is not what embarrasses me at all... your lack of understanding is. If you would stop and think for a few seconds, you would understand that I think of things I should have included after I published. If I could have the option of editing my remarks on others blogs, I would do that. I don't have the time or desire to sit and write out on paper all my thoughts to be sure everything is included. Most of my thoughts don't come all at once. Maybe some are more gifted than I... I don't sit in front of my computer at this site and think for 30 minutes to be sure all my thoughts are all in for a post. So, to save YOU the embarrasment of reading posts that YOU feel should all be placed in one... I'll make it easy for you. As for your lessons in ediquette, keep them to yourself instead of embarrasing yourself in front of the whole world with your criticism. Maybe you should have sent me an e-mail if it was a problem for you. See, I understand you and your interest in things that bore me. I tried to enter in your world and attempted to participate. I surely don't feel welcome. That is what embarrasses me. Well, I assure you won't be annoyed again. You don't seem to understand, I could care less what the rest of the world thinks. I am comfortable with who I am and with my weaknesses and strengths. Don't worry before I post this, I will be SURE all thoughts will be included and no further posts will follow. Maybe I need to study this forum a little further before I use it. What I find funny is I can't believe you are not embarrassed for the whole world to read the post you just posted before mine. If you want me to see your response, you will need to e-mail me... I will not be back here again.

This is my first time commenting on a blog... so I hope I am using the correct etiquette. I understand why Kara asked her dad to write some e-mails instead of all the posting. But, what I don't understand is why you all are ragging on Frank and do exactly what you are ragging on him for.

I am not trying to be mean but I just happened to notice that Kara had posted comments with in minutes of each other just like Frank had done. Yes, I understand this is her blog.... but why rag on someone for doing that and then do it yourself.

I am sorry if you are taking this the wrong way, but this is a comment blog correct??

The next thing I noteced was that after you all asked Frank to write e-mails instead of posting such personal stuff because it is embarrassing Jake posted a comment ragging on Frank that should have been done in an e-mail like you asked Frank to start doing.

I hope you all don't let this get into a big fight. Family is too important to let something like this to seperate you guys. I am only saying that if you ask someone to do something you should try doing it as well. I hope I didn't cause any problems and I hope you all work through this.

    Carla....aka Angel

    p.s. I really hope I didn't cause any problems...
